Free childcare and education for 3 to 4-year-olds
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England receive 15 hours of free early education or childcare per week. We are a term time only setting and offer up to 28.75 hours per week.
30-hours free childcare and education
Children of parents meeting certain criteria will be eligible for the extended entitlement which provides an additional 15 hours of free childcare per week. Check your child’s eligibility for the 30 hours.
You are able to split your funded hours between Pollyanna Pre-school and another setting, providing that they also operate term time only.

When you can start claiming
The date you can start claiming depends on your child’s birthday.
| Child’s Birthday | When you can claim |
| 1st January to 31st March | The beginning of term on or after 1st April |
| 1st April to 31st August | The beginning of term on or after 1st September |
| 1st September to 31st December | The beginning of term on or after 1st January |
Example
Your child was born on 15th July 2018. You can receive free childcare when the next term starts after 1st September 2021.
Eligibility
The free early education and childcare must be with an approved childcare provider.
Eligibility stops at the end of the term before your child is due to start reception class.

Fees
As of September 2022, Pollyanna Pre-school fees outside of free childcare funding will be £5.60 per hour per child.
Tax Free Childcare
Did you know that Pollyanna Pre-School also accept the tax free childcare vouchers? In a nutshell, Tax-Free Childcare is there to support working parents with the cost of childcare. For every £8 a parent pays into their childcare account, the government adds an extra £2, up to a maximum of £2,000 per child per year (or £4,000 for a disabled child).
